COVID-19: Impact on Service Levels
Alectra is actively monitoring the impacts of COVID-19 on our operations and remains focused on two key priorities throughout the pandemic:
- employee and public safety; and
- the continued reliable delivery of power to the homes and businesses we serve.
Our operations crews and support staff are working in the field, warehouses, and control rooms where strict Covid-19 safety protocols remain in place.
Alectra has robust contingency plans in place to address challenges resulting from the pandemic – including staff shortages. With the current rate of spread we have enacted aspects of these plans, including the delay of some non-essential construction.
While we are focused on the supply of electricity to homes and businesses, the restoration of power outages, and crew and public safety, we are ensuring that the service that our customers rely on remains secure.

Procurement and Supply
While we make every effort to ensure timely delivery of products and services to customers, unprecedented delays in procuring/shipping certain equipment (such as transformers and switches) may delay new service or service upgrades for Alectra customers. We would like to reassure customers that Alectra’s supply chain and procurement teams continue to work with our vendors in securing necessary equipment, but we ask for your ongoing patience and understanding as some shipments may be delayed longer than usual. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has created disruptions across many industries that affect global supply chains, and this may impact some of our customers. We sincerely apologize for any delays experienced by our customers.
